NOTES FROM THE rabbit hole…NFTrh

The NFT part is all that matters. Not the words “notes from the”, implying information delivered from somewhere. Not “rabbit hole”, implying that somewhere is a pretty different, even weird place.

You see, with my antiquated notions of sound market management, which includes investment and/or speculation in real assets, including real monetary value (gold), equities of real companies doing real things and the commodities consumed during real… okay, manufactured economic growth, it is really pretty odd that I am now seen, because of 3 stupid letters, by some as part of the newest craze in the financial markets, the Non Fungible Tokens craze.

Tim Knight: Optimist

On my bookshelf, you will find a series of small books which are in The Portable Curmudgeon family. These are not recent purchases. In fact, I started getting them as they came to market way back in 1992. That was, by definition, when I was – – ya know – – younger.

Years earlier, back in my teens, one of my favorite books was Paul Fussell’s Class. Here is an image of Professor Fussell, which I think captures his temperament quite well:

Lead Us Not Into Temptation

I always feel like I’ve got an arm tied behind my back when I’m traveling. Actually, it’s much worse on a plane. You’d think after all these decades, their WiFi would be rock solid, but it reminds me of the days of modems and acoustic couplers. Totally unreliable.

But I’m doing all right at the moment, since I’m still on firmament. As such, I was nauseated to see on Sunday how all the equities were, once again, puking higher.
