Olympic Glory
Elizabeth Swaney, who hails from Palo Alto, is getting some unintended publicity for being pretty much the lamest Winter Olympian ever. Her participation in the Olympics at the half pipe is seriously the one and only one I could personally match. Enjoy the leisurely run!
Profiles in Foliage
I heard on the radio that the Obamas had their official portraits unveiled at the National Portrait Gallery yesterday. I was curious to see them, since I assumed they would be grand and stately representations of the former President and First Lady. Umm, having seen them, my only response is: WA HA HA HA HA! Are you serious?!?!

Holy Crow
After careful consideration, I have decided selling my XLI puts early today was an error. Heh.
In any event, I’m still heavily short, and my departure from bond puts on Friday DID make sense. What we are witnessing is extraordinary. Congratulations to my beloved Slopers, many of whom I suspect are having superb days. We richly deserve this.
Blow By Blow
This is hilarious. From KIRO: “On Wednesday, January 31, 2018, KIRO Radio captured surveillance footage of a vandal trying to break in to one of our employee’s vehicles in our parking lot. While the suspect is still at large, we took the liberty to have John Curley give his play-by-play of the incident.”
