The Fibonacci Trio

SlopeCharts has had Fibonacci Retracements ever since it was launched last year. Today, however, we have tripled the number of Fibonacci tools, adding both the Arc and the Fanlines. The icon still looks the same, but now when you click the seashell, you will see three tool choices.

To use any Fibonacci tool on a chart, choose the seashell icon:

Three tool choices appear which are, from left to right, price retracements, arcs, and fanlines. Click any of the three to choose that tool (or click the seashell again to deselect).

Pre-Earnings Options Trades

Note from Tim: The Director and I are making baby steps toward giving the Slope of Hope a full-fledged options-oriented “site within a site”. I’ll be focusing my tools development in this area, and The Director is going to be ramping up his post contributors, including some exclusive Gold/Diamond-only posts later this week. We hope you enjoy this new direction, because I’ve been quite impressed at how many Diamond signups we’ve been getting lately (which is going to be “options central” on the site).

First up is BBBY (Bed Bath and Beyond, Earnings 9/26 after close). This has been a relatively dismal stock in last few years, as retail decay continues. We can see that earnings reports have likewise started to languish in the last few years (reminder: you can get Reaction Graphs here).

Genius at Work

This post is intended to disabuse people of the notion that, in the financial world, popularity equals competence. This is been much on my mind lately, because for some reason I have been buried in video ads with come-ons from all kinds of hucksters pledging that their followers can basically print money if they only sign up for their expensive seminars or join their programs. These programs must pull in enough suckers to make it worthwhile to the advertiser, because the ads persist.

Long before these, though, I saw the Crypto-Genius ads. Endlessly. I haven’t been shy about rolling my eyes at James Altucher’s ads that polluted everyone’s web browsers early this year. For obvious reasons (like the 95% drop in value on many cryptos), these ads have vanished, but in case you’ve forgotten, here’s what they looked like:
