Slope initially began as a blog, so this is where most of the website’s content resides. Here we have tens of thousands of posts dating back over a decade. Recently I stumbled upon a website which had one purpose and one purpose only: it showed a ranked list of the largest public companies, ordered by their market cap. It also shows a handy little 30-day chart, their latest price, and their latest price change. Remember, that’s the entire website. So, little old me decided we could do that, no problem, but instead of being the whole website, it’s just the 523rd thing that Slope does on top of the 522 other things.
I have lost about $300 billion dollars over the past few weeks (not for real; who do you think I am, Cathie Wood??) I’m talking about in my virtual account. The last time such a thing happened was in March. You can see what happens next. I hope to hell we see some repetition here!
Happy New Week, everyone. I’ve got the smallest bit of bad news for you. When we added the latest improvement to the Preferences in SlopeCharts (namely, the ability to show a grade for options liquidity), we reset some of the Preferences to the default. Therefore, I urge you to click the Preferences icon……
And just give a look at the various Preferences tabs to make sure they’re the way you like them. If you’re anything like me, you’ll stumble across features you didn’t even realize were there anymore. It’s a good exercise, whether any preferences were lost or not. Thank you! (And sorry………..)
About a week or so ago, I shared this chart of the S&P 500 divided by the M2 money supply in order to create a more realistic picture of the stock market’s valuation, normalized for the trillions of dollars of new fiat sloshing around.
I was looking at the Tadawul All Share Index (symbol $TASI) from Saudi Arabia, and its cyclic nature was quite intriguing.
