When the genetics testing company 23andMe first appeared years ago, I actually paid for and submitted my test. I thought I’d find out all kinds of vital information like if and when I’d get cancer, how long I’d live, and all kinds of other cool information. Nope. They were too terrified to say anything meaningful, so instead I found out stuff like – – and I’m not making this up – – my proclivity to have hard ear wax. Totally useless. I guess the rest of the planet is slowly catching on, as ME withers away to worthlessness.
