You’ve probably heard all the fuss about Zuckerberg introducing Threads, the Twitter killer. I dunno, I think the fatal flaw is the classic network problem: the people aren’t there. I mean, I’ve got about 25,000 people following me on Twitter. Starting from 0 on Threads doesn’t exactly excite me. In any case, I am bearish on META by way of January puts.
For many a week now, I’ve warned of the horrifying danger of the small caps completing their basing pattern and doing something like is represented in the conjectural chart below. That would basically be the end of all hope for good, decent people. The bad guys will have truly won.
I wanted to offer some charts of interesting bearish setups of equities that aren’t particularly attractive as options plays (due to modest volume or thinly-traded options) but perhaps could be good, simple short-sales.

My best success on Wednesday was puts on GDX (precious metals miners). My assumption on Monday was that GDX’s strength would fade. So far, so good.
