Today sucks. I won’t pretend otherwise. I was positioned for a fall, and instead we’re looking at a market in which the Dow is up QUADRUPLE DIGITS as I am typing these words. It wasn’t catastrophic for me, but I’ll get to that later. What I wanted to point out is this image of the Dow 30 fund:
What a nutty day. I thought it would be a total snooze-fest, thanks to the election, but crypto changed all that. Crypto crashed, dragging equities down into the red (but all too briefly), then almost all those losses in equities were recovered, only to see it fall about halfway again. A total madhouse.
The reasons that the bulls are having to dream up to make an excuse for buying this market are getting absurd. “Soft Pivot“. Give me a break. “Peak Inflation“. Whatever, it won’t matter. And, then, this morning, from the apparent permabull site Zerohedge:
God, I suck. I left that rise freak me out, and I scrambled to raise cash from 6% to goddamn 31%. What a total waste. Jesus, this market is insane.
I guess when bullishness is running rampant, you can expect this kind of thing, even on Slope. I was personally amazed how lopsided the voting was (and, yes, I voted Down).
