Screwy Chewy
Considering all the hoo-ha about Roaring Kitty and Chewy (CHWY), particularly his quarter billion dollar stake, you’d expect the stock to be going ape, but it’s actually quite tepid. I guess people aren’t as pumped about a guy who is getting sued for securities fraud. Last week’s rumor had a more outsized effect than the actual dollars-and-cents announcement.
Debate Prep
As a fan of Star Trek as well as analogies, I have thought many times of how similar the “Fuhrer” character in Patterns of Force is to our present administration, inasmuch as he’s very old, tired, and needs extreme stimulants before any speech. Life imitates art, once again.
Chewed Up
Today’s lesson is: don’t put your money into a stock just because some weirdo tweets out a cartoon of a dog’s face.
