I am just two strategies away from finishing this {colorful adjectives redacted} options strategy guide. It’s been a lot of work, but aided greatly by the nearly heroic efforts of a number of Slopers who have been double-checking and proofreading.

The presentations of payoffs is, by definition, lagging behind the writing, but it’s progressing too. Even though we have some complex strategies already running, we only just now got plain old vanilla puts and calls working (both long and short). We’re getting there, my friends!

Akkuracy

As I mentioned in my last post, I was slack-jaw shocked to discover that the beautifully-crafted options strategy guide published by a major, publicly-traded bank is, in fact, stone cold wrong. I was using this as a principal reference for my own education and construction of Slope’s own strategy guide, and I was beyond perturbed to discover that the published options strategies of an $11 billion (market cap) bank absolutely sucks out loud. Incredible.

WSB Lunacy

I have mentioned the sub-reddit Wall Street Bets (WSB) quite a few times here on Slope. For those of you unacquainted with it, it’s basically packed with degenerate gamblers, largely in their 20s, who get fixated on the stories from the sprinkling of extremely profitable options traders in there and, for their own accounts, lose most of their money. I went over there just now for an example, and it took me about three seconds to find one:
