Delighted as I am with gold’s performance, I have to wonder if it’s ever going to take a breather from this raging rally.

Slope initially began as a blog, so this is where most of the website’s content resides. Here we have tens of thousands of posts dating back over a decade. These are listed in reverse chronological order. I honestly think silver is trying to drive me insane.
You see, many weeks ago, when I expressed a strong interest in acquiring large amounts of the metal, five-star Sloper Baby Bear wisely suggested buying small amounts frequently, over time, and not worry about the wiggles. Well, since I’m a self-absorbed idiot, I ignored his counsel, and instead did something more approaching this kind of strategy:

Well, folks, I’ve just about had it up to the proverbial “here” with silver. I was truly looking forward, at long last, to being a bull on something, and not just for a day or two, but for months or even years. On Friday morning, at long last, silver seemed to have a mind of its own, zooming almost 5% higher in the midst of an otherwise humdrum market of other assets.

Only about thirty-six hours ago I did a post called Can Silver Come to Life? in which I bemoaned the fact that silver had been grinding away, going nowhere for months. I actually had a final paragraph in that post which declared I didn’t really care, since I didn’t have a position, but upon further reflection, and a commitment to the longer-term, I went ahead and not only took on the biggest position in PSLV I’ve ever had, but I also bound a bunch of silver bullion just for the hell of it. Thus, I deleted the “I don’t even care” paragraph in the post.
How pleased I was to see this morning that /SI is up over 4%!
